Video Fusion

In Wings Engine, Video Fusion allows you to merge video clips into a GIS scene to achieve smooth transition effects. Video fusion is divided into two types: Projected Video Fusion and Planar Video Fusion.

1. Projected Video Fusion

Projected Video Fusion can be understood as a projector that needs to project onto an established screen (i.e., carrier). Therefore, before adding a Projected Video Fusion, you need to create a carrier for it .

Click “+New” and select “GIS Blank” to create a blank GIS 3D scene.

Add a carrier for the Projected Video by clicking “Models” in the toolbar, selecting “Shape” and clicking “Plane”.

After adding the plane to the appropriate position in the scene, click “Plane Material” and check “Video Fusion”.

Click “Symnbols” in the toolbar, select “Video Fusion” and click “Projection Video Fusion” to generate a video fusion group.

Select “Projection Video Fusion 1” under the video fusion group and adjust the projected video fusion to the appropriate position.

Add the projected video under “Video Settings”.

After adding the projected video, you must enable the video fusion button, otherwise, the fusion cannot proceed.

Once video fusion is enabled, set the opacity of the plane to 0 to achieve the integration of the video with the scene.

2. Planar Video Fusion

Planar Video Fusion is essentially a projector with a built-in screen (carrier), so you do not need to create a carrier when adding a Planar Video Fusion.

Click “Symnbols” in the toolbar, select “Video Fusion” and click “Plane Video Fusion” to generate a planar video fusion group.

Click anywhere with the mouse to generate a “Plane Video Fusion 1” under the planar video fusion group.

Add a video under “Video Settings”.

After adding the video, simply enable the video fusion button.
