There are two ways to update the data on the big screen: manual update and automatic update.
Manual updates are mainly for when you’re editing the big screen and have modified the local data source, and want to update the data displayed on the current big screen.
You can manually update the data by clicking “Refresh Data” in the “Data” dropdown menu or by pressing the shortcut key “Ctrl + F5”.
Automatic updates are mainly used when the big screen is in full-screen playback mode, and you want the displayed data to be updated as the data source updates.
The data refresh frequency in Wings Engine can be set to: every second, every 10 seconds, every minute, every hour, every 3 hours, daily, custom, no refresh, or according to the data source’s unified settings. The automatic refresh frequency needs to be set at the data source. Open the Edit Data window, select a data source, and you can set the refresh frequency for that data source from the dropdown menu in the right-side window.
The refresh frequency of the data source can be maintained uniformly for the entire data source or set individually for each table within the data source.
[Friendly Reminder]
1.The meaning of automatic refresh is that the data from the data source is automatically updated on the big screen. Therefore, whether the data source is static (Excel files) or dynamic (Databases), the data on the big screen can achieve automatic refresh.
2.The automatic refresh frequency is unrelated to the update frequency of the data source itself, and the highest refresh frequency of the data is only limited by the update frequency of the data source. This means that even if the data refresh frequency on the big screen is set to refresh every second, if the local data source update frequency is very low, the actual data refresh frequency will still be very low.
