Edit Data

The resource center of Wings Engine offers a rich collection of large screen templates. When we create a large screen using these templates, we usually need to replace the template’s default data with our own. Additionally, when using local data sources, we sometimes need to modify the data source itself.

There are two methods to modify the default data in the template: online modification and direct replacement. This article mainly introduces the online modification method. For details on replacing data sources, please refer to the tutorial: Replace Data Sources.

If you are using a local data source, you can directly open the data source for modification (for example, if you are using a local Excel file, you can open the Excel file directly for modification).

In the large screen editing interface, click “Data” in the dropdown menu and select “Edit Data“.

In the “Connect Data” window, you can see the list of all data sources for the current project on the left side. By clicking on the names of various sub-tables of the data source, you can view the data displayed in the right window of the pop-up. At the top of the right window, you can also see the type of the current data source. If it’s a file type, you can see the save path, as well as the import time of the data source.

Clicking “Open File” allows you to view the folder where the data source is located. Clicking **”Delete” **deletes the current data source.

You can also set the automatic refresh frequency of the data source here. The refresh frequency set here can be applied to all sub-tables within the entire data source. For details on data refresh, please refer to the tutorial: Data Update.

Click **”Add New Data” **to continue adding new data sources. For details on adding data sources, please refer to the tutorial: Add Data; click **”Replace Data Source” **to replace any existing data sources already added to the current project. Tip：The data here is for viewing only and cannot be modified online. If you need to modify the data, please modify it directly in the data source file. After modification, please follow the relevant tutorial for Data Update.
